CREATING AWS EC2 Windows server 2012 instance

1 Log on to AWS Console

2 Go to Services -> Compute -> EC2

3 Click launch instance.

4 In quick start menu,select Free tier only

5 In step 1:Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) Screen,Select Wndows server 2008 (Free Tier eligible).

6 In step 2:Choose an Instance Type screen,Verify that you have selected General purpose, t2.micro (Free tier eligible) instance and click Next:

7 In step 3:Configure Instance Details ; accept default settings and click Next:Add storage

8 In step 4:Add storage, accept the default settings and click Next:Add tags

9 In step 5:Add tags,click the option click to Add a name tag

10 On next screen for the key Name,give some value ex:Windows-VM-1 and click Next:Configure Security Group

11 In step 6: Configure Security Group,accept default option to create a new security group.In source field change custom to Anywhere and click

   Review and Launch

12 In step 7:Review Instance and Launch,Verify all your settings and click Launch.

13 Select an existing key pair or create a new key pair screen appears.If this is the first AWS instance,you have to create a new key pair.

   Otherwise you can use the existing key pair.If you select create a new key pair, you have to give key pair name and download it and keep 

   it in a secure and accesible location.You will not be able to download the file again after its created.

14 Once downloaded the key,click Launch instances

15 Launch status screen appears click View instances to see your instance
